If I Had My Way was originally recorded by Blind Willie Johnson in 1927. The song has since been recorded by several popular artists including the Grateful Dead, whose 1977 album Terrapin Station features a studio recording of the song under the title “Samson and Delilah.”

I love gospel music. As far as I know, it’s uniquely American. You probably don’t have anything like it in Greece. Of course you have your own folk music – think Zorba the Greek. Love that music too.
Yes, Zorba is one kind of genuine Greek music. There are other kinds too, that have to do with different tribes and regions.. Have a listening, if you are interested, at:
